Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to and use of HG Social, a social content workflow operated by Heaviside Group LLC (“Heaviside,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using HG Social, you agree to these Terms.
The service
HG Social helps authorized users connect social accounts, prepare and review original content, schedule publication, upload drafts, publish approved content, and view supported account or publishing information. Features vary by platform, account type, permissions, and platform approval.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized by the organization or account owner you represent. You are responsible for accurate account information, for protecting your credentials, and for activity performed through your HG Social account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
Connected social accounts
You may connect only accounts that you own or are expressly authorized to manage. Social platforms control their own authorization screens, permissions, APIs, and enforcement decisions. You may disconnect an account in HG Social or revoke access through the applicable social platform.
You remain responsible for verifying the destination account, content, post type, settings, and publication time before submitting or scheduling a post.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Heaviside a limited permission to host, process, format, transmit, and publish that content only as needed to provide HG Social and carry out your instructions. You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed for the content and its publication.
Acceptable use
You may not use HG Social to violate law, platform rules, intellectual-property or privacy rights, or another person’s authorization. You may not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, misrepresent identity or affiliation, send spam, or use HG Social to publish deceptive, abusive, or prohibited content.
Third-party platforms
TikTok and other connected platforms are independent third parties with separate terms, policies, and technical requirements. HG Social does not control those services and cannot guarantee that a platform will accept, process, display, or retain a post. Platform outages, permission changes, rate limits, review decisions, and account restrictions may affect HG Social features.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to protect users, comply with platform requirements, improve the service, or address operational needs. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Where practical, we will communicate material changes to active users.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access for misuse, security risk, nonpayment under a separate service agreement, violation of these Terms, or a connected platform’s requirements. You may stop using HG Social and request account closure by contacting us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
HG Social is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by law. Heaviside disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heaviside will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, platform action, or failed publication arising from use of HG Social.
Heaviside’s aggregate liability arising from HG Social will not exceed the fees paid to Heaviside for the affected service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars if no such fees were paid.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Ohio, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Additional terms and contact
These HG Social Terms supplement any written agreement between Heaviside and the organization using HG Social. If a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that organization. The broader Heaviside Group Terms of Service also apply where relevant.
